
Sahu, currently serving as the head of global equity research in New York, will succeed Kaku Nakhate, who has led BofA’s India operations for 15 years. He is expected to relocate to India in the second quarter of this year to assume the leadership.
Nakhate will continue as the chief executive officer of the India until final approval of Sahu’s appointment. During this transition, she will focus on developing senior client relationships across the India business.
Sahu brings a global perspective with 25 years of experience, having held roles in India, Hong Kong, the United States, and Europe. One of the world’s largest financial institutions, Bank of America, has had a presence in India since 1964. As the new country executive, Sahu will lead the India country leadership team, oversee the delivery of strategic growth plans, engage with regulators, and ensure governance.
