The company has appointed Vineeta Puranik as the new Chief Technology Officer (CTO) after serving the company for years. Puranik has contributed to the company in artificial intelligence and other technological advancements.
Two Decades of Expertise
Puranik started working with SmartBear in 2021 as Senior Vice President (SVP) of Engineering and DevOps. She scaled operations globally as well as launched initiatives like Developer Academy and Hub Strategy. Before joining SmartBear, she worked with tech companies like Veracode, Kronos Inc., and more. There she led multiple projects and developed her expertise in product development, SaaS delivery, and managed high-performing teams.
Puranik has experience of twenty years in the field of multi-shore development, cybersecurity, and acquisition integration. Her engineering career is a proven track record of her excellence in global scaling, team management, and technical mergers and acquisitions.
She completed her bachelor’s degree in engineering, and later, in 1992, she completed her master’s degree in computer engineering from the University of Pittsburgh.
Puranik’s New Role
As the Chief Technology Officer, Puranik will now supervise cloud engineering, artificial intelligence, and overall technological development strategies for SmartBear. She is going to lead 400 professionals. Puranik will align the company’s vision to integrate AI into the core operations to yield quality product development practices.
