BorderPlus Expands into Germany with Onea Care Acquisition

BorderPlus is an Indian workforce mobility platform that recently acquired the German healthcare recruitment firm Onea Care GmbH. This is a strategic move that is aimed at providing Indian healthcare professionals to get structured, fair, and high-quality job opportunities in Germany.

Ayush Mathur and Mayank Kumar co-founded the startup. The main aim of the acquisition is to expand in the key markets and grow their presence while supporting Indian healthcare talents in exploring global options.
BorderPlus has committed $10 million for this acquisition to establish a presence in India, Germany, and other destinations. The company plans to introduce digital-first solutions to streamline hiring, provide language training, and more.

Currently, Germany is facing a shortage of healthcare professionals, which marks up to an estimated need of 150,000 nurses in 2025. And this number will grow in the next five years; hence, Germany is planning to hire over 500,000 nurses.

India is a healthcare destination for many tourists across the world. Indian healthcare professionals are highly skilled, and a huge number of nurses are there. BorderPlus is helping to source this demand from the ocean of skilled and experienced professionals.

Leon Bauer, founder of Onea Care, expressed optimism about the acquisition. He highlighted that combining both organizations will help meet the demand. With BorderPlus on the side, the companies can scale effectively while serving ethical recruitment solutions.

“This acquisition will be a game-changer in addressing workforce shortages while upholding the highest ethical and quality standards” Combining Onea Care’s long-standing amendments to supplying top healthcare talent with BorderPlus’ focus on Indian healthcare growth strengthens the company’s ability to scale ethical recruitment solutions,” says the founder of Onea Care, Leon Bauer.

The acquisition portrays BorderPlus’s commitment to ethical recruitment and quality training along with the goal to transform global workforce mobility.
