Rajan will succeed V S Ashok, who is re-appointed as Executive Vice President of Customer Experience and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG). Ashok has been associated with Blue Star for over three decades now and has led many strategic roles to pave the company’s success. In his new role, he will lead the customer strategies and ESG initiatives of Blue Star.
Arun Rajan has two years of experience in human resource management across various industries. He has led impactful positions in several companies like Bennett Coleman and Co. Ltd., Vodafone, Tata AIA Life Insurance, and Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail. Rajan gained his expertise and polished his skills through various HR initiatives, enhancing employment engagement and fostering organizational culture.
Before joining Blue Star, Rajan was the Head of HR for Pantaloons, Style UP, and Marigold Lane at Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail from 2023. Rajan started his career with Bennett Coleman and Co. as a Management Trainee in 2003. In 2004, he continued his HR journey with Tata AIA and exited the company as the Head of Performance Management, Rewards, and Recognition. He joined Vodafone in 2011 and was responsible for executing several transformative phases and implementing people-centric strategies.
He lead the business as Regional Head of Organization Effectiveness and Change for Africa, Middle East, and Asia Pacific for Vodafone. In his capacity, he guided the teams on organizational structure and people cost management. He became the Senior Vice President of HR for the Consumer Business and National Operations in 2016.
