
Oil India Limited / ऑयल इंडिया लिमिटेड (OIL) elevated Ankur Baruah as the Director of Human Resources. The appointment was approved by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC). Baruah has previously served as the Executive Director (HR) at OIL with over three decades of experience in the human resources and corporate leadership field.
Baruah holds an engineering degree along with an MBA in HR and a PhD in Business Administration. Throughout his career, he has shown exceptional skills in manpower planning, acquisition, talent management, stakeholder engagement, and so much more.
His diverse skills and strategic approach have aligned with OIL’s human resources policies and the business objective of the organisation over time.
For his noticeable contributions to the organisation, he has been awarded several awards, including “Most Iconic HR Leader”, “Topmost HR Leader in Asia”, and “HR Excellence Award”. His commitment is to develop employee-centric leadership and innovative workplace cultures.
As a Director (HR), he will be expected to continue driving initiatives that make the workplace environment engaging and effective, enhancing employee engagement and productivity of OIL.
